Aija Lejniece is an attorney and arbitrator specialising in international investment and commercial disputes. Aija has represented clients in arbitration proceedings under the rules of ICSID, SCC, HKIAC, LCIA, ICC and UNCITRAL, likewise in arbitration-related enforcement and set-aside proceedings before the courts of Paris. Her experience covers disputes arising from regulatory changes in the renewable energy sector, restructuring and acquisitions in the oil and gas industry, expropriations and matters involving crypto-assets and digital platforms.<\/span><\/p>

Aija is listed among the arbitrators of several international institutions. In 2023 the Republic of Latvia appointed her the Member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague. Her experience covers disputes arising from regulatory changes in the renewable energy sector, restructuring and acquisitions in the oil and gas industry, expropriations and matters involving crypto-assets and digital platforms. Aija is listed among the arbitrators of several international institutions. In 2023 the Republic of Latvia appointed her the Member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague.
